After being released into the open sea, there is no reliable trace of Timmy. Particularly concerning: The GPS transmitter, which the private initiative claims to have attached to the animal, <strong>apparently is not providing any data</strong>. This means that the very tool that was supposed to provide clarity after the release is missing.
So the uncertainty grows by the hour. Neither the rescuers involved, nor the Ministry of the Environment, nor independent experts can currently say where the whale is—or even if it is still alive. This turns the rescue operation into a veritable information thriller. But it becomes even more distressing when one considers Timmy’s condition before his release.
Let’s now look at why many observers had serious doubts even before the transport.
